Archery - Archery is available on site - instructors can be provided if required.
Grass sledging - There are four grass sledges available for hire.
Pioneering - poles and ropes available for hire.
Other activities available:
Swimming - Sports Centre - New Mills - about one and a half miles. Squash courts, saunas, swimming pool.
Canoeing - The County canoes are kept at Linnet Clough campsite for use on the Roman Lakes. More information available on request.
Hill walking - From Hayfield and Glossop to Kinder and Bleaklow designated "open country" under the Walking Safely Scheme.
Walking - Numerous walks of varying lengths - Contact the Manchester County Walking Adviser
Rock climbing - Windgather Rocks near Kettleshulme, Stanage Edge near Hathersage and Laddow Rocks near Crowden. If rock climbing contact the County Outdoor Activities Adviser at Girlguiding Manchester.
Caving - Chapel-en-le-Frith, Stoney Middleton. If caving contact the County Outdoor Activities Adviser at Girlguiding Manchester.

Cycle hire - Contact High Peak Borough Council for cycle hire along the Sett Valley Trail
